The Griffon Vulture
Appearance: Their feather's range from dark to light brown. Their wingspans are 8 feet long from wing to wing. Their beaks are weak despite it's looks. A Griffon Vulture's neck is covered in light down so when it digs it's face in a carcass, it's easy to clean.
Diet: Vultures are scavengers. That means they eat dead animal bodies; Usually looking forward in eating the muscle and internal organs. On occasions, they go attack the weak. (newborns and the wounded)
Hunting: Griffon Vultures primarily fly in warm weather. Using their eyesight, they scan the feild for any rotting carcasses. When a vulture finds food, others follow. (Griffon Vultures don't have a great sense of smell)
After a meal, the vulture are most likely messy and need a bath. To solve this, they bathe in small bodies of water.
Egg: The female may lay 1-2 eggs. They will incubate the egg for approx. 50 days. When the chicks hatch, they are covered in light down*.(soft fine feathers) But it's not after 160 days before they leave their nest.
Breeding: Griffon Vultures relativily breeds when they reach 5 years of age. The pairs are mates for life. Remember, these birds are actually very social, so they enjoy making their nests near other vultures.
Nesting: Griffon Vultures usually make their nest in cliffs but trees are fine too. Their nest consist of wood, plant, and debris.
Q: What are Griffon Vultures life span?
A: They live up to 40 years. 40 being the longest.

(Staff may add to this if I've missed something. )
